Begun as a Street art collective with the name of INJURY in 2002. With the success in the street art scene, INJURY released their first clothing collection [Hold me tight, my superhero] with 10 handcrafted custom made limited screen-print tops. In 2004, Eugene launch his own fashion label INJURY during Mercedes Benz Australian Fashion Week Melbourne, where he sold his first collection to Orson & Blake and Incu Australia. INJURY was then invited to show [What Lies Beneath] at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week, Men’s division Runway show, followed with signing a distribution deal with the biggest Japanese distributor Jack of All Trades by 2007. The label has been praised for its strong identity, original graphic prints and has been described as digital, sci-fi and architectural. After gaining commercial success in Australia, New Zealand in Japan, in year 2009 INJURY launched full official distribution in Asia and the US, subsequent collections were sold to over 30 retailers internationally including Oak NYC, Isetan, I.T., D-mop,
Liger Store, Harvey Nichols, Alter Style and The Fashion Door, Boy+ etc. The collections is especially successful in Japan, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan and Hong Kong, Singapore. INJURY has earned continuous support from celebrities in Australia and overseas, such as Guy Sebastian, Ronan Keating, Huang Xiao Ming, Sammi Cheng, Eason Chan and Charlene Choi. Press coverage includes WAD magazine, WWD, So-en, Mens non-no, Sense, ELLE magazine, Marie Claire, Sydney Morning Herald and The Age etc. In 2013, they expanded the distribution to over 40 select stores in China with a participation in Mercedes Benz Beijing fashion week Runway show and Shanghai Fashion Week. Year 2016 – Debut runway show SS16 [The Game Has Changed] in New York Fashion Week. INJURY design-duo being invited to be speaker of Business of Design Week 2016. Debut on-schedule runway show during Paris Fashion Week for AW16 [6 seconds] and their latest [Collection#25].
