Prophecy XII2-7 : Dichotomy

As a continuous motion for the artist to explore the density of digital souls, reality and cyber life cycles in this series of 10 simultaneous narrative artworks,
INJURY x REAL PARENT continues to explore what the metaverse means for humanity.

The work is open to interpretation - whether the rise of the metaverse will bring the same class difference and hierarchy as the real world, would it be opening doors to infinite possibilities as many has hoped; or, expected, be bound by human conservatism? 

The soundtracks of the animations were created as an integral part of the artwork series, reflecting the hierarchy within the universe. The kick sound reflecting the human intrinsic base and as you go up the hierarchy within the universe, the lower the bass punchiness, mimicking the realistic journey and reflecting the artists state of mind in creating the work.

This simultaneous narrative art series are set within and being part of our fantasy landscape that cohesively appears in our cluster to work associated with the bigger universe created by INJURY X REAL PARENT that is continuously building and expanding, with upcoming planned drops in 2022 and 2023.

Prophecy XII2-7 consists of a major story of its own, and represents extended narratives and untold stories from INJURY's original CG Film ‘The Butterfly’s Dream’ that was launched in June 2021, and the ‘Extended Dreams’ NFT series launched in Jan 2022.

The artist experiments a new hybrid form of simultaneous narrative art bridging ACG subculture, alternative digital fashion couture, manga-style animation with immersive electronica soundscape. Probing on-going topics such as the density of digital souls, dreams and reality.

On the verge of the world’s rapid technological transition, the artist express uncertainties about hyper-realistic human avatar. In response to their obsession of fem-bot and speaking to the origins of ACG sub-culture, their artworks set out to grasp the historical moment and communicate through an alternative perspective with avatars of its kind at this specific era before the dominance of hyper-realism in the virtual world.
